JOB SUMMARY
- The primary role of Material Handler is to unload and sort truck deliveries, as well as pull and put away fabric for Batching, Unbatching, Exact Yardage, and Quality Inspection.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
- Unloads and sorts inbound truck deliveries
- Identifies any fabric for inbound packaging issues
- Identifies and tags fabric into FAS system
- Locates fabric in available warehouse locations for Put Away process
- Conducts and verifies Put Away location counts for accuracy
- Conducts Put Away function from Unbatching, Exact Yardage and Quality Inspection for completed goods
- Locates and pulls fabric and drops to designated routing locations
- Can properly operate picker equipment
- Conduct daily equipment start-up inspections for picker
- Can manually lift up to 60 pounds
- Can operate RF unit
- Performs other duties as assigned
KEY QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to stand for 8-12 hours in a factory environment
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and processes in verbal and written form
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with employees and wide range of functional areas
- Demonstrate skills in expressing ideas clearly and effectively
- Proficient in FAS
