JOB SUMMARY
- Example Company is seeking a landscape foreman. We value collaboration, problem-solving, reliability, and professionalism. The individual will be responsible for completing jobs as well as training, mentoring, and developing the skills of his/her team members. You will perform a variety of work creating new spaces to be enjoyed by people in all aspects of life from homeowners to retail businesses and commercial sites. Equipment operation, building stack, and boulder retaining walls, patios, brick/stone stairways & walkways, installing plants, trees, bushes, and mulch, final lawn prep, laying sod or seeding are involved. You will be responsible for reporting and communicating project status and issues to leadership. In the winter months, team members will perform snow removal tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Candidate will need to be able to work outside for 8-10 hours a day, Monday through Friday, Occasionally needing to work Saturdays
- Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
- Performs project-specific scope of work on job sites supporting team members to complete
- Safely and efficiently operate landscape machines and tools, including tractors, mowers, leaf blowers, and aerators
- Enhance curb appeal and beautify outdoor spaces
- Order, pickup, and allocate materials
- Manage tools and supplies
- Ability and desire to direct, supervise, and encourage team members
- Actively manage and maintain safety on the job site
- Manage conflict and risks as they arise
KEY QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Valid driver’s license and insurance, with reliable transportation
- Ability to drive provided work truck with trailer and equipment, as applicable
- Physical capabilities to perform duties
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- Ability to communicate effectively, follow and provide oral and/or written instructions, and establish effective working relationships with other employees, officials, and the general public
- Willingness to build skill sets with internal and external training programs
- Pesticide License and Chauffeurs License (at a minimum) preferred
- 3+ years of residential and/or commercial lawn maintenance experience
- Responsible, self-motivating, and a team player
- Be on time and follow dress code policy
Hours: 7:00 am – 5:00 pm
