JOB SUMMARY
Building Bridges is seeking landscape crew members. We value collaboration, problem solving, reliability, and professionalism. This role involves working as a part of a landscape team typically performing tasks which may include but are not limited to the following: edging, trimming, landscaping, plant installation, watering, digging, shoveling, raking, and other similar projects.
Landscape Crews create new outdoor spaces to be enjoyed both by homeowners and at business/commercial sites. Equipment operation, building stack and boulder retaining walls, patios, brick/stone stairways & walkways, installing plants, trees, bushes and mulch, final lawn prep, laying sod or seeding are involved.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Candidate will need to be able to work outside for 8-10 hours a day, Monday through Friday
- Occasionally needing to work Saturdays
- Plants new flowers, trees, grass, hedges, and bushes while also maintaining gardens and lawns, including mowing, trimming, pruning, raking, and weeding.
- Safely and efficiently operate landscape machine and tools, including tractors, mowers, leaf blowers, and aerators
- Enhance curb appeal and beautify outdoor spaces
- Follows written and verbal instructions from the crew leader and clients
- Removes snow, ice, and leaves as needed
- Builds and renovates stone pathways, patios, and ledges
- Loads and unloads equipment and tools into work vehicles
- Drives work vehicles to and from sites
- Attention to details, plans and safety

KEY QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Valid driver’s license and insurance, with reliable transportation
- Ability to drive provided work truck with trailer and equipment, as applicable
- Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- Willingness to build skill sets with internal and external training programs
- Experience working in a team environment
- Some customer service experience
- Responsible, self-motivating and a team player
- Be on time and follow dress code policy
- Maintain expected work pace for productivity standards
- Be respectful to peers and supervisors
- Willingness to learn
- 2+ years of residential and/or commercial landscape/lawn maintenance experience
- Actively manage and maintain safety on the job site
- Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
- Manage tools and supplies
Hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm
