JOB DESCRIPTION
- Able to understand the operator instruction sheets including visual and dimensional requirements
- Operate manual and automated work cells
- Give full cooperation and assistance to all other department employee’s including fellow operators, technicians, leaders or supervisor
- Maintain quality standards and production requirements including cycle times
- Assist in setting dies when required
- Make needed adjustments and or repairs as required to diecast machine, robots, reciprocators, ladlers, cold chambers, shot rods, tip lubers, hot oil machines, and trim presses to maintain the highest level of production and quality
- Practice good housekeeping including 5S
- Visually inspect parts on a continuous basis to keep quality maintained as required
- Obey and practice all safety procedures and properly use LOTO and wear required PPE
REQUIREMENTS
- Repetitious twisting left to right approximately 400 times per hour
- Bending at the waist approximately 400 times per hour
- Bending wrists up to 2000 times per hour
- Gripping with hands approximately 800 times per hour
- Sustain push pressure up to 10lbs 400 times per hour
- Lift 20lbs chest-high approximately 400 times per hour
- Lift 100lbs occasionally chest high
- Stand from 8 to 10hrs with up to 3 breaks allowed
- Withstand over 100-degree temperatures for extended periods of time during summer months
- Exert high force with arms and body on wrenches when setting dies
4 days a week, 10 hours a day – start and end times are flexible, as needed
