Simply complete and submit a Get Hired form. We’ve made it as easy as possible and only ask questions that are needed to find you the right job.
Do I have to pay anything for your agency to find me a job?
No, not for employees. Employers pay us to send them qualified candidates.
Where is The Job Post located?
Our address is 255 Division Ave S, Grand Rapids MI 49503. We are between Cherry and Wealthy Streets and share a building with Guiding Light.
Do you have parking available?
Yes, there is free parking available on the north side of the building behind an open black gate. Or you are welcome to pay to park on the street in front and on the side of the building. Look for the Guiding Light Recovery billboard on the side of the building across from St. Andrew’s Cathedral.
Does The Job Post Accept walk-ins?
Yes, we are always accepting walk ins.
What documents does The Job Post require in order for me to work?
You will need two forms of a valid ID.

We work with our employers to be open to people with a criminal history.
What type of job openings does The Job Post offer?
A majority of our positions are within the manufacturing sector, but we have recently delved into the food service, skilled trades, and clerical industry. What are the forms that I need to fill out if I get hired? Is there help with filling out new employee forms?
When you are hired into a position, some of the forms that you need to submit as a new employee are a W-4 form for Employee Withholding, an I-9 Form for Employment Eligibility Verification, State Tax Withholding Forms, Benefit Enrollment Forms, and Emergency Contact Form.
What day is pay day?
Payday is every Friday starting after your first week of work. You will be compensated for the hours you worked your first week on the following Friday. We do not offer same day or same week pay.
How do you pay employees?
Direct deposit is the most common form of payment. We also offer pay cards if you do not have a bank account.
Does The Job Post give out bonus pay?
Yes! The Job Post gives all employees a $250 retention bonus upon permanent hire or after their 90 days, whichever comes first. We offer a referral bonus in the form of a $25 gift card for every person an employee refers that reaches their first 40 hours of work. And we also offer overtime rates for our employees.
How do I get my pay stub?
Pay Stubs are mailed out every Friday. You can also access any pay stub through our employee portal that we launched in early 2023. If you would like to be enrolled in the portal, please call our office and ask to be connected to the payroll department where they can grant you access via email.
How do I get my W2?
W2s are mailed at the end of January every year. If you do not receive your W2 in the mail, please contact our office.
Does The Job Post offer holiday pay?
The Job Post itself does not pay holiday pay. However, most employers we work with pay holiday pay after your first 90 days of permanent hire. Our goal is for all employees to be hired within their first 90 days of employment.
Do you offer benefits?
The Job Post offers health insurance which is available at cost to the employee. There are additional employee benefits as well. Upon permanent hire, most employers offer benefits as part of their compensation package.
How does Job Post handle Positive Covid cases and protect employees’ positions if they are not able to work?
The Job Post works with our customers to ensure that employees can return to work after required quarantine / isolation periods due to COVID-19. We follow Federal, State, and Local guidelines as well as worksite protocols and are transparent with candidates on these measures before making any placements.
What do I do if I am injured on the job?
Report any “on-the-job” injury to your supervisor immediately. Then contact The Job Post as soon as possible at 616-214-7991, assuming you have not been permanently hired by the employer at the time of the injury.
My job requires that I have steel-toed boots. I don’t have them and cannot afford a pair. What should I do?
The Job Post has new steel-toed boots in many sizes available for new hires that cannot afford them. The cost of the boots will be deducted in small increments from your future paychecks. We also offer welding shields, earplugs, and safety glasses.
