The Job Post provides PPE, or assistance in buying PPE, to all workers. After the host employer looks over their worksite, they decide what PPE is needed and report it to us. We discuss the PPE required with our employee. From there, the gear can be either purchased or provided.

If you don’t have a vehicle, The Job Post can help with costs related to transportation to and from work. Most transportation costs are shared equally between The Job Post and the employee. After employees are given time to earn their first paycheck, The Job Post’s share of the cost is taken out of each week’s check.
The Job Post is one of Wheels to Work’s approved employers. Wheels to Work itself is a ride-to-work program run by The Hope Network. The service helps employers in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and across Kent County to transport employees reliably and affordably.
The shared fare plan is designed so that the employee and employer each pay a small fee to get workers to their job on time. Employees are picked up at one of the hubs around town and dropped off right at their workplace. At the end of their workday, they are dropped back off at the meeting hub.
Employees just need to ask us to use Wheels to Work and we will provide instructions for using the service.
The Job Post can assist employees that are starting a new job with buying a bus pass. This means that workers can be confident about getting to work, even if they do not have the money for transportation yet. Once the checks start coming in, we deduct our share of employee bus pass costs from their check.
When one of the lower-cost options above just won’t get you to work, we can also help by sharing costs for ridesharing or taxi services.
Healthcare insurance is available at a 90% cost to employees, while The Job Post pays the other 10%. If an employee is hired by their host employer after a 60- to 90-day trial period, insurance is often available to them at a lower cost by their new employer.
As required by law, The Job Post insures all its employees with Workers Compensation Insurance. This plan provides medical and wage benefits to employees who are injured or become ill at work.
Also as required by law, The Job Post contributes to the UIA on behalf of its employees. Unemployment insurance provides cash to unemployed workers who actively seek employment. Work longevity requirements and the reasons for no longer being employed must be met before this insurance goes into effect.
